    A graduation project at Sapir

In 2011 I finished my studies in the Interactive Communication track at Sapir College. My graduation project was “The Zionist Time Machine”: an interactive Flash timeline that told the history of the state, year by year.

I wanted Israel's history to feel less like a burden for the younger generation, and more like a journey.

    Flash died

Browsers stopped running Flash, and the project sat for years in a folder on my computer.

    Rebuilt

Fifteen years later I decided to close the circle. I rebuilt it for today's browsers, with real archival photos, original radio recordings, narration and a song for every year.

All so that the story is open to teenagers, and to anyone who wants to know what the country went through from the day it was founded until it became what it is today.

Why now?

Because especially at a time when our people are divided, it matters to remember the road we travelled together.

Seventy-eight years of rebirth, wars, immigration, loss, songs and hope. This history belongs to all of us.
